Meredith & JD Ross
The Hickory Tree is owned by husband and wife team Meredith and JD Ross.
Meredith is a graduate of Appalachian State University with a Minor in Interior Design. After 5 years in Real Estate with Coldwell Banker, she saw the need for a furniture consignment store in the Hickory/Unifour area. A desire to make use of her creative giftings in Interior Design led her to make the move and re-open a once viable consignment store. Meredith grew to love Hickory as she made friends and networked throughout the community from 2003-2010. "Now, I am able to work with many of those people in the community to help grow and develop a new business venture," she says as she looks out the window of her new store watching traffic pass by. "Hopefully the excited faces who come to shop and sell their treasures here will enjoy this store as much as they did in the past."
JD is a graduate of NC State University, studying Business. He moved to Hickory after college to work in Banking, met the love of his life (Meredith, of course ;-) ), and helped her open The Hickory Tree. As business boomed and the store demanded more attention, he joined her full-time in the Spring of 2011.
They love helping sellers find new homes for the treasures they've loved, and helping buyers find that perfect piece to complete their decorating project. Come in to see them today!
